• About PurserOS

Built by people who understand
both finance and the sea.

PurserOS was born from direct observation of the gap between how complex cruise ship finance actually is, and how inadequate the current tooling is to handle it.

The gap no one has filled.

Every operator we spoke to described the same problem: their SPMS handled the transaction, their ERP handled the books, and between the two sat a manual process held together with spreadsheets and institutional knowledge.

The VAT jurisdiction problem isn't complex to solve technically. GPS position data has been available in real time for years. The maritime boundary datasets are freely available.

What was missing was the software layer that joined two entirely separate systems — the SPMS transaction log and the ship's bridge GPS feed — and used that combined data to output a clean, jurisdiction-coded journal ready for the ERP. Fidelio doesn't have GPS. The position data lives in the bridge navigation system. PurserOS is the first product that connects them.

PurserOS is that layer. Not a replacement for Oracle or SAP. Not another full-platform play. Just the missing piece of middleware that turns a manual, error-prone process into an automated one.

Complementary, not competitive

PurserOS works alongside Oracle Fidelio SPMS, SAP, JD Edwards, and NetSuite. We designed it to be additive to your existing stack, not a reason to rip and replace it.

Honest about what we are

We're middleware, not magic. PurserOS automates the mechanical parts of VAT attribution and turnaround orchestration. Edge cases still need human review — and we make that easy.

Built for the long tail

The big cruise lines have enterprise IT teams. The 400+ smaller operators running Fidelio SPMS don't. We built PurserOS for them — lean, affordable, and fast to deploy.

Transparent on tax rules

Our jurisdiction rules database is maintained in a YAML file that any finance professional can read and verify. No black boxes. The rules are yours to audit.

Find out what your VAT exposure
actually looks like

Every voyage is different. Exposure depends on your specific port sequence, your ship's speed profile, and the lag characteristics of your POS system.

Send us two anonymized files for any completed voyage:

1. SPMS/POS transaction export — a standard CSV export from your ship management system including transaction line items and POS device timestamps.

2. GPS position log — your vessel's position track for the same voyage, showing latitude, longitude, and timestamp at regular intervals.

No personal passenger data is required. Both files can be exported directly from your existing systems in under ten minutes.

We'll return your VAT exception report. It’s that simple.
